They set out to translate their nostalgic memories of home-cooked meals into engaging videos, employing Buzzfeed’s user-friendly template. Armed with an iPhone and a selfie stick, Archana took center stage, crafting delectable dishes while her husband expertly captured and edited the videos.

The response was nothing short of astounding. The transition to video format proved transformative, prompting an upgrade to professional equipment and enrollment in video editing courses. Hebbar’s Kitchen swiftly garnered a dedicated following, with their tutorial on rasgulla, a delectable Indian dessert, amassing over 17 million views. Their Facebook page now boasts an impressive 6.4 million subscribers, and their videos have accumulated a staggering 1.6 billion views. In a testament to their impact, a video analytics company revealed Hebbar’s Kitchen as the third most popular Indian video publisher on Facebook.
While other Indian chefs dabbled in the format, their focus tended toward elaborate restaurant-style dishes. The Hebbar approach, however, was characterized by simplicity and traditionality. Their inaugural video featured a South Indian style raita, infused with fenugreek seeds, setting the tone for their culinary philosophy.
